The Sheikh wrote this aqeedah in order to clarify his beliefs and to prove that his aqeedah was the aqeedah of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah and that he did not come with anything new and that whatever was attributed to him was a lie…
So that is the basis of this treatise, in which he answered a questions about his ‘aqeedah…So when the news of the Shaykh and whatever had been circulated about him reached them, they wrote to him to ask him about his ‘aqeedah. So he wrote this treatise to clarify in it his ‘aqeedah and what he was upon and he removed any doubts to the contrary.
A committee was appointed to collect the writings of Imam Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul Wahhab throughout the Muslim world and compile this book from printed, handwritten and microfilm sources.
The biography is in chronological order describing all the events of the life of the Prophet (Sallahu alayhi wassalam ) from his childhood till he was called by the Lord of the universe.
He clarifies why one should openly manifest the madh-hab of the Salafus-Saalih, name oneself with as-Salafiyyah, and brings some of the evidences of why it is obligatory to follow and cling to this noble madh-hab. Other topics explained includes, the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih in aqeedah in contrast to the mank of the People of Desires. He concludes with a brief explanation of the position of the Salafus-Saalih in refuting the innovators and provides guidance on how Ahlus-Sunnah should deal with the People of Desires.
