We want to present this book ‘The Precious Pearls – the Description of the Ten Companions Who were Given the Glad Tidings of Paradise’ to our youth as a legacy hoping that they will continue on toward finding the higher and real values that Islam suggests to acquire. In it are the models to follow instead of mimicking inferior, fictitious and corrupt personalities presented to us by non-Muslims.
Adh-Dhahabee said in his biography of Abu Ad-Dardaa,
“Abu Ad-Dardaa was an Imaam to be followed, the judge of Damascus, the wise man of this Ummah, and the best of the reciters of Damascus.
A committee was appointed to collect the writings of Imam Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul Wahhab throughout the Muslim world and compile this book from printed, handwritten and microfilm sources.
The biography is in chronological order describing all the events of the life of the Prophet (Sallahu alayhi wassalam ) from his childhood till he was called by the Lord of the universe.

In this book the erudite scholar and doctor, Shaikh Sālih bin Fawzān al-Fawzān brings the story behind the life of one of the most notable scholars of the 18th century, Shaikh ul-Islām Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhāb, may Allāh shower His Mercy upon him. The Prophet Muhammad (Sallahu alayhi wassalam) said: “The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth. Some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain-water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain-water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking (making their animals drink from it) and to irrigate the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah’s Religion (Islam) and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah (Azawajal) has revealed through me (the Prophet) and learns and then teaches it to others.
In this book, the stories of the prophets have been compiled from ‘Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah’ (The Beginning and the End) which is a great work of the famous Muslim exegete and historian Ibn Kathir and has a prominent place in the Islamic literature. The stories of the prophets and all the events in their lives have been supported by the Qur’anic Verses and the Sunnah (traditions) of the Prophet (Sallahu alayhi wassallam).

The Imām of Imāms, Ibn Khuzaymah, said: “I heard Muḥammad bin Saḥnūn saying: ‘I heard Abū ‘Umayr bin an-Niḥḥās ar-Ramlī mention Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal, saying: “May Allāh have mercy upon him on behalf of the dunyā; how patient is he and how resemblant is he to those who have passed away and the righteous people, and how near is he to them! The dunyā was presented to him, but he refused it. Innovation was presented to him and he refuted it.”’”
This is another addition to the library of numerous works and writings of our noble brother. Anyone who is acquainted with his writings will know of his stringent and meticulous methodology in translation and compilation, the like of which brings tranquility to the heart of the reader or anyone wishing to take benefit.
He was a mujaddid who combined knowledge of fiqh with knowledge of hadith. He knew about hadith and their degrees of soundness. He had memorized many volumes of ahadith; he knew all about their narrators and the correct pronunciation of their names. Texts would be proofread and corrected with his help, even though he was blind. He was an ocean of knowledge, conversant with the opinions of different scholars and never at odds with any of them.
The Shaykh passed away on Wednesday 15 Shawwaal 1421 A.H. / 10 January 2001 C.E. He was 74 years of age. May Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta’aala) have Mercy upon his soul, aameen.

It is unfortunate that there are young Muslims who have been raised by Muslim parents but have not read the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) even one time, while they have heard the names of hundreds of disbelievers and other Muslim personalities. In truth, this is a deficiency from the parents, because the mind and heart of the child is like a vessel if you fill it with good, it will be filled with good, and if you fill it with evil, then evil will occupy it. And if you neglect these vessels, someone else will fill them.
