Prophet Yahya, peace be upon him, gathered the Children of Israel in Jerusalem; until they filled the masjid to capacity, sitting upon its balconies. He addressed them, saying, “Indeed Allah has commanded me with five commandments to implement, and He instructed me to command you to implement them as well.”
Hell is the final abode prepared by Allah, the Most High for those do not believe in Him, those who transgress against His Laws and deny His Messengers. It epitomises the scourge of punishment, filled with indescribable torment, pain and grief that has been detailed by Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)
This selection includes commentary by Shaykh Sāliḥ Fawzān, and covers the affairs regarding life after death; fitnah at the time of death; condition of the deceased in the grave; punishment in the grave; the soul’s connection to the body within the grave; visiting the graves of the disbelievers; the parents of the Prophet ﷺ; children tested in the grave; children of non-Muslims in the Hereafter; the prophets within their graves; Muslims who enter the Hellfire; the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection; events on the Day of Judgement; and much more!
If a sick person went to the doctor for treatment and was advised to avoid certain delicious foods to preserve his health, he would believe the doctor and comply with the doctor’s orders. Despite this, we see many people disobeying Allāh and His Messenger by leaving off the obligations while doing prohibited actions; although he reads and hears the commands and prohibitions. He knows the permissible and the impermissible. Therefore, is the doctor more truthful to them than Allāh, the Exalted? Or is their sickness more severe to them than the Hellfire?
A parable is a statement that compares one thing to another due to a resemblance between them in order to clarify one from the other and to form it in the mind, and there is no doubt that using parables and examples improve understanding. It does so by bringing to the mind something tangible. Allah says (and His speech consists of the greatest, most definitive proofs):
“And these similitudes We put forward for mankind, but none will understand them except those who have knowledge (of Allâh and His Signs, etc.).”
Ibn Al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said: “This remedy had an effect upon this disease and it removed it to the point that it was as if it never existed. It is the easiest and most convenient form of treatment. If the slave were to properly treat the ailment with Al-Faatihah, he would see an amazing effect in terms of [recovery] and healing.
I had stayed in Makkah for a period of time and some illness had afflicted me. I was not able to find a doctor or any medicine. So I would treat myself with Al-Faatihah and I saw that it has an amazing effect. I would mention that to those who had complained of pain and many of them were healed quickly (by way of it).”

All praise is due to Allāh, the Lord of all that exists. I bear witness that none deserves to be worshiped in truth except Allāh alone with no partners and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger (may Allāh send Salāh and peace upon him, his family, and his companions all-together).
As for what follows:
Verily, the subject matter of this treatise is extremely important and it is worthy of deep study and a good deal of time due to its magnitude, importance and urgent need.
Altogether, this combination of a scholar’s guidance and wisdom with a student of knowledge’s research and investigation makes for an incredible and invaluable resource for Muslims everywhere to benefit from.
