The classic work of the great scholar of Najd, Shaykh al-Islaam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhaab (may Allaah have Mercy on him), Nawaaqidh al-Islaam, “The Things that Nullify One’s Islaam,” is explained by the virtuous shaykh, Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him), passage by passage, in a way that will help the Muslims grasp a clear understanding of the nature of the things that nullify one’s Islaam and its manifestations.

This remembrance has merits and virtues none but Allah fully encompasses – the meanings and implications of which, lead to certainty and solace through strengthening ones’ faith and connection with Allah. This special dhikr is of such importance that the author (may Allah preserve him) saw the need to single it out in this short treatise, entitling it, “The Hawqala: Its meanings, virtues, and creedal implications”. It is hoped Muslims will focus their efforts in meaningfully utilising this phrase and making it a regular feature of their every day lives, along with other types of remembrances of Allah.
The source of Ahlus-Sunnah in derivation is the Book and the Sunnah. They take from them, derive their evidences from them, and rely upon them. They do not deviate from them in the least. Rather, they are as Al-Awzaa’ee said:
“We go with the Book and the Sunnah wherever they go.”
Ibrahim Books is pleased to present publications designed to enable Muslim individuals and families to understand and learn Islam from reliable sources.
