Tafsir of short Surahs for Muslim Youth was written for Muslim children and the youth, and is a concise explanation of Sürah al-Fatihah and some short chapters, beginning with Sürah Ad- Duhä and ending with Sürah an-Näs. This book was written to allow them to understand the general meaning of the Quran so they can ponder over it, benefit from it and work according to it. Shaykh Ahmad al-Mazrooi selected this explanation from the tafsir of ibn Kathir, Sa’di, Baghawi, and others.
The Imām of Imāms, Ibn Khuzaymah, said: “I heard Muḥammad bin Saḥnūn saying: ‘I heard Abū ‘Umayr bin an-Niḥḥās ar-Ramlī mention Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal, saying: “May Allāh have mercy upon him on behalf of the dunyā; how patient is he and how resemblant is he to those who have passed away and the righteous people, and how near is he to them! The dunyā was presented to him, but he refused it. Innovation was presented to him and he refuted it.”’”
By Imaam An-Nasaa’ee. This is the first book in the ‘Classical Knowledge Series’ – a collection of selected scholarly works from the past that deal with the subject of religious knowledge. This particular book is a translation of the famous classical work “Kitaab-ul-‘Ilm”, a collection of narrations about the virtues, merits, manners, and etiquettes of knowledge, written by Imaam Abu Khaithama An-Nasaa’ee (Died 234H).
For verily it is not the purpose of the sincere adviser to broadcast the short-coming of the one whom he is advising, and verily his purpose is only to remove the corruption which has occurred in him. And as for broadcasting and manifesting the short-coming, then this is part of what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden. Allah the Exalted said: Indeed, those who like that immorality should be publicized among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. A short treatise from Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah) in which he discusses the role of the Imaam and the manner he should straighten the rows and lead the prayer. It also discusses the role of the worshipers and the manner in which they should stand behind the Imaam in the prayer and the importance of connecting the rows and keeping the lines straight.
